  • Redirect all mail traffic on local

    Status: Not reviewed 0 ratings.

    Hi
    Would it be possible to add an option to your installer, where one could type ones email, and then all WAFContext.Session.SendEmail would go the email, instead of what ever has been typed in the code?

    Possible with the option to overrule from the setting tab in /edit?

  • ClassIcons filename

    Status: Not reviewed 0 ratings.

    It would help our publish process if the files for class icons were named after the object type Guid or fully qualified class name instead of the ID. When moving from local dev environment to a test server, that does not have the same content class ids, we have to reupload the class icons.

    Also the temporary class icon files with name like {0}_16_16.png should be stored in a different folder that we can hide, so it isnt auto-included in TFS when working with WebSites.

  • Max/min number of instances

    When you have multiple sites, these settings become unusable, since they don't apply per site, but for the whole solution. The ability to have settings pr.site would be great.

  • Filetypes included in site-file

    When downloading a site, swf and possibly a lot of other typical web files are not included.

  • Field titles in ontology module

    Status: Not reviewed 0 ratings.

    Today, titles are being generated from the field names (e.g FirstName => First name etc). I have a site with two languages, English and Norwegian (1033 and 1044). I add translation to all the fields for 1044 and assume that the fallback is the generated title. Instead, when I view the field titles in edit in English mode, the field titles are all inn Norwegian. Would it be possible to use the generated titles as fallback instead of the first available translation? In most cases you won't have to add two sets of titles, and it saves time :)

  • Support leftjoins in custom queries

    Status: Not reviewed 0 ratings.

    It would be nice with an override to session query which would enable left joins, so I could search through a lot of book titles and the chapters which only some of the books have.

    Today I need to do two searched one solemnly on books and on on a joined relation between these two, and afterwards i need to filter the lists for duplicates.

  • Controlling emails

    Status: Not reviewed 0 ratings.

    When debugging/testing applications it is often wise to route all emails being generated to a test account of some sort. Today we have to do this ourselves (from what I know) by adding a wrapper function which in turn calls the internal Session.SendEmail method. Is it possible to add functionality so that it will be easy to override where all emails are going by perhaps setting the site in some sort of test-mode? When in test-mode one could set one or more emails to receive the emails. I think this would be a nice addition to the core func of Webnodes.

  • WAFCustom files

    No biggie.. Would it be possible to add "using System.Linq" at the top by default? or perhaps be able to specify which libs you want to have as default?

  • Remove-method on relation-fields

    Status: Not reviewed 0 ratings.

    Could you add an overload with <T> or a AQLExpression as param, so that I could only remove certain types from a relation. Now, we have to query the field first, loop through and then remove the ones we want gone.

    Let's say I have a couple of tag-types inheriting from ContentTag, "Category" and "Keyword". If I want to remove only keywords from a content, I could do:

    content.Remove<Keyword>();

    or

    content.Remove(AqlContentTag.ContentClassId == Keyword.ContentClassId);

  • Function for cutting html

    Status: Not reviewed 0 ratings.

    Just had a conversation with our UI-guy, and he wanted to display fragments of Html-fields, in for example article listings where the ingress is not present. It is possible to add a method to the Html-field that can truncate the html safely to a given length? We could not find a standard implementation for this, but I know there are many Webnodes-developers that cook up their own small solutions here and there. There is an ok one on HagaGolf which could be used as a basis, but I'm not sure how advanced it is.

    With this in place we could call: article.Body.Truncate(150), or perhaps in a Util method: Utils.TruncateHtml(article.Body, 150).

    It is a really nice feature that I know many would appreciate.
