A more dynamic property setup

Status: Planned. 1 ratings.

I miss some built in tools to control the behavior of properties in Edit. It's often difficult and time consuming to create a user friendly interface in projects where you have complicated classes containing a significant number of properties. It is already possible to group properties with property panels and move related properties into separate tabs. What I am missing is a way to make the interface more dynamic so that you can for instance link a check box to a text box, saying that the text box should only be visible or enabled when the check box is checked. It could also be useful to have a selection of more generic properties available when defining a document type. An example of this could be a property that shows the result of a predefined query, allowing the user a quick glance at the result of changes made to properties in the current document. Lastly, and probably easiest to implement, would be a general label/text property that can be used to section up the interface and explain functionality to the user.

We will add more advanced features to the rendering of properties in Q1 2012.

I still miss this property:

Will this be implemented anytime soon?
